FTP


    File Transfer Protocol (FTP) is a service supported by the
    VMS/ULTRIX Connection product (UCX).  FTP service allows a
    VMS user to transfer files to and from a remote host on an
    Internet network.

    FTP supports both  DCL and Ultrix like command interfaces.
    The default is the DCL  interface.  To select  the  Ultrix
    interface you need to define the symbol:

  FTP :== $UCX$FTP/ULTRIX

    Remember that when using the DCL interface you must quote
    input to preserve case sensitivity.

    Chapter  4  of the "DEC TCP/IP Services for VMS, Use"
    describes  how to use FTP.

    FORMAT:   $ FTP

    When invoked, FTP enters its command interpreter with a FTP>
    prompt and awaits for commands from the user.
