My choice of newsgroup is the tw.bbs.talk.love. I choose it because it is in Chinese and it talks about love. For love is one thing that human being cannot learn fully from books and Shakespeare wrote "The course of true love never did run smooth." In the newsgroup there are real life problems or funny things. I can also learn how people react to different news.
For example, there was a boy who wrote a little piece of paper asking a girl if she would be his girlfriend. She replied with a poem that he didn't understand. So he put it on the newsgroup and ask people what the poem meant. Some of them find out that, the real message of the poem lay on the first word of each line which the girl choose to be his girlfriend. I think it is also a way to learn culture in Taiwan, there are people who can type Chinese very well, and people who can write poems very well. Also the way of asking people to be there close friends.
I do think that by reading this newsgroup, one can learn a lot from it. It is just like the phone call program held every week night. The woman will tell you of her opinion of your problem. By looking (or listening) the newsgroup (radio). One can learn from events that happened on others, and in one day, one might need to help others with what they learn, or even help oneself.
