EVENT STRUCTURE This is a large metaphorical system. Event structure includes notions of attribute, change, causation, action, creation, etc. In this metaphorical system, event structure is understood in terms of force-dynamic systems. This metaphorical system has two branches. In one sub-system, event structure is understood in terms of force-dynamic interaction involving objects ("the object branch"). In the other sub-system, event structure is understood in terms of force-dynamic interaction involving locations ("the location branch"). The organization of the parts of this metaphorical system into files does not in general reflect real discontinuities in the mappings. Rather, divisions have been made in the interest of space and clarity.
